The University of the Incarnate Word has been around quite a while. Located in the medical center area of San Antonio, the School of Optometry has two state of the art clinical facilities, and is currently the only faith based school of optometry in the Unites States. The school, being relatively new, offers a Doctor of Optometry and a Bachelors in Vision Science.

The average GPA and academic average for the OAT for accepted applicants was 3.31 and 314. The school also does rolling admissions so it is important to apply as early as possible.
