Residency Description:
The Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy (POVT) Residency is based at the Eye Care
Clinic, a fully-equipped patient care facility owned and operated by the Southern California
College of Optometry (SCCO). The residency is a full-time, formal, supervised program
combining patient care, didactic education, teaching experience, and clinical research.
The mission of the POVT residency is to develop the residents' clinical expertise in
pediatric primary care and the assessment and management of binocular vision and
visual processing anomalies, using full-scope optometric procedures and treatment
options.
