Community Health Optometry ResidencyThe community health optometry residency places optometrists in multidisciplinary settings in order to provide advanced training and education in primary eye care, under a broad range of environments and with varying patients. This exposes residents to different settings such as hospitals, clinics, community outreach services, pediatrics, and internal medicine, which is what many will experience in the real world setting on their own. Residents will examine a number of patients and deal with contact lenses, low vision, eye conditions, and co-manage ocular diseases. Like other residencies, residents will not only be under supervision, but may be supervisors themselves, training students in clinical and classroom settings. Residents should also expect to participate in grand rounds, seminars, and other group meetings between professionals and their peers. Community Health Residency List
