Residency Description:
The Braverman Eye Center is a multidisciplinary practice comprised of 5 ophthalmologists, 3 optometrists, 1 licensed optician, 3 ophthalmic assistants and technicians, 1 certified ophthalmic technologist, and 5 administrative personnel.
Our facility covers approximately 6000 square feet of space and includes administrative offices, an optical, a pre-testing area, 9 examination lanes including one minor surgical suite, one refractive surgical suite equipped with an excimer laser, a contact lens room and 5 rooms for darkroom film development, ancillary diagnostic testing, fluorescein angiography and on-site argon laser treatment. We also have an autokeratometer, autolensometer, autorefractor, anterior and posterior segment cameras, corneal topographer, wavefront aberrometer, Heidelberg Retinal tomograph, OCT and an A and B-scan ultrasound. We provide comprehensive optometric and ophthalmologic services including emergency eye care, to an average of 1500 to 1800 patients a month. Our patient population is approximately 80% geriatric, primarily English speaking.
