Residency Description: This residency is a one year post-doctoral training program sponsored by Alaska Eye Care Centers and affiliated with the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. This Program offers qualified Doctors of Optometry a high volume of contact lens fittings in a large private practice, and the opportunity to work with specialty contact fits including keratoconus, bifocal and orthokeratology/ CRT patients. It also includes the treatment and management of ocular disease and primary eye care of a diverse population. The resident will develop independence and emerge with a high degree of confidence in contact lenses and primary eye care. This experience will give the resident the tools needed to expertly manage and care for patients in their future optometric practice.
