Residency Description:
The Scott & White Eye Institute Ophthalmology Residency Program is based on a three-year curriculum designed to equip each graduating resident with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain certification through the American Board of Ophthalmology and practice general ophthalmology independently and competently.
Residents who match with our program are given the option of completing a rotating internship at Scott & White that is designed to create a solid foundation for a career in ophthalmology. The Scott & White Ophthalmology Residency Program has a long history of excellence. Our current residents and alumni as a group have scored well above the national average on the nationally standardized OKAP examination every year for the past 21 years. No graduated resident during that time period has failed to obtain board certification.
