Residency Description:
The ophthalmology residency program at Indiana University School of Medicine consists of training in all areas of ophthalmology. It is a 36-month ACGME-accredited program providing increasing responsibility and excellent varied educational experience. Six positions are offered yearly and appointees will have completed at least one post-graduate year of training.
The purpose of the residency is to teach the cognitive and motor skills required of medical and surgical ophthalmology. Of paramount importance is the ethical training, essential to becoming a competent and caring ophthalmologist, which is provided at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology.
