Fellowship Description:

This Fellowship fulfills the requirements of, and has been sponsored by, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Inc. (ASOPRS). This Fellowship also fulfills the requirements of, and has been accredited by, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS). It is a Facial Cosmetic Surgery Training Program recognized by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

Office responsibilities involve all aspects of functional and cosmetic ophthalmic facial plastic pre-operative and post-operative care. The fellow assists Dr. Burkat, Dr. Lemke, Dr. Lucarelli and Dr. Rose. Pre- and post-operative patient evaluation occurs largely during office sessions at the University Hospital Clinic, at the Davis Duehr Dean Clinic and Lemke Facial Surgery. Ophthalmic plastic surgery at the Madison Veterans Administration Hospital is staffed primarily by the Fellow, typically on a monthly basis.
