Fellowship Description:

The fellows see patients on Mondays and Tuesday under the supervision of Dr. Gerald Fishman. Patients with various hereditary retinal diseases and unexplained vision loss are evaluated. Additional patients are seen Wednesday through Friday as part of ongoing research projects in which fellows will participate.

The fellows will learn various electrophysiologic and psychophysical procedures including electroretinography, electro-oculography, dark-adaptation and color vision testing. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in departmental seminars and conferences as well as to present data at annual meetings such as ARVO and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
