Fellowship Description:

The goal of the fellowship program is to train individuals for a career in full- or part-time academic ophthalmology with a subspecialty in cornea, external disease, contact lenses and refractive surgery. The program seeks to provide a solid clinical background and to expose the fellow to research in basic and/or clinical science.

The clinical program consists of rotations with each of the faculty members of the cornea service. The fellow will participate in outpatient evaluations with the faculty member, take primary responsibility for inpatient services, and will occasionally be called upon to deal with outpatient problems without supervision.
