Optometrists were ranked number 20 in Money Magazines and PayScale.com’s list of Best Jobs in America with the highest income and 56th overall for the best job ranking. This really puts a spotlight to a great career that requires 8 years of education past high school and at least one year of residency. The EastWest Eye Conference was set for October 1-4, 2009 and optometrist and other eye care professionals looking for CE credits or to network should definitely attend. The conference is held at the Cleveland Convention Center and is sponsored by the Ohio Optometric Association with support from the New York state Optometric Association. There is a wide range of educational courses from billing and coding to neuro-optometric rehabilitation and also a few courses for other eye professionals. The registration fee for AOA, OOA, or COA members is $124 and $200 for non-members. The registration fee for other allied eye professionals is $94.
